Lovely singleKoru made from Kawakawa Pounamu. Carved by Dean Taylor.
The Koru symbolises an unfurling fern frond, full of new life and fresh beginnings. Being open to infinite possibilities.
There is a strong sense of tranquillity and spirituality that comes with this design. It is a nurturing symbol and is often carved with multiple korus to represent loving relationships.
Pounamu or Greenstone is regarded as a stone sacred to the gods by the Maori of New Zealand. As a Taonga -meaning treasured, and it should be worn with respect and pride. Pounamu is a gift from the heart.
